With another year over and a new one in our grasp, many of us are feeling as though it is the right time to start things off with a clean slate. We may find ourselves writing down and working on resolutions to be more active, go to the gym more often, lose weight, spend more time with the family, the list could go on and on.
For example, this year I’d like to earn my CPIA designation in insurance. Write more blogs. Go to the gym two times a week, make time to go on a tropical vacation. Spend more quality time with my family. Go to a concert, cook a new dish at least once a week & read a new book at least once a month. Quite a list I know, but I’ll keep you posted on my progress throughout the year.
With all of our New Year’s resolutions now on our horizon I thought that it would be a great time to discuss the importance of your insurance policies as well. Although it’s something we don’t think of sometimes till we need it or until we get our bills. This is a great time to think to yourself, “When was the last time I gave my home, auto and other personal lines policies a thorough review?”
The best thing to do, now that we all have our new planners and calendars, would be to mark down the renewal date for your policies and reach out to me. Preferably it is best to reach out at least 30 days prior to your renewal date to allow me ample time for a thorough review of your policy. It allows me the time to see what coverages you have, to explain them in detail and also let you know about new or available coverages that you may be interested in but didn’t know about.
