FBinsure believes that community involvement is just as important as the insurance we provide to our clients. It is so important, in fact, that there is a designated committee entitled FBcares that handles all of our involvement in the communities we serve. Employees donned in the well-known bright yellow FBcares shirts can be found each year at events like the clean up of local little league fields, charitable fundraising events, local non-profit harvest fairs and events such as The Gourmet Guys which raises funds and awareness about domestic violence.
FBinsure has worked with New Hope, Inc. for several years helping out at their biggest fall fundraiser, Gourmet Guys. This event raises money through ticket sales and delicious meals made and served by local public figures, Chefs from well known eateries as well as owners and employees of many local companies. Part of what makes this event so successful is that all of the chefs at the event are men with a great sense of humor and dedication to giving back to a worthy organization. This year we have been selected for the Safeco Insurance® Make More Happen Award because of our volunteer service with New Hope, Inc. The award comes with a $3,000 donation from Safeco Insurance for New Hope, Inc. and entry into the Safeco Insurance Make More Happen Contest.
Here’s how it works:
- The public is encouraged to vote for their favorite agency-and-charity team featured in the Make More Happen Contest.
- The three agency-charity teams with the most votes will win additional donations from Safeco for the charities. First place gets$10,000, second place $5,000, and third place $3,000.
- If the total votes made during the contest reach or exceed the vote goal, all charities featured in the contest will receive an additional $500 donation from Safeco Insurance.
