This month we’ve chosen the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts for our Jeans Day charity. Being originally from Brockton I have a special place for the APCSM since it’s in my home town and I adopted my now departed cat from there. The APCSM is located at 1300 W Elm Street Ext. in Brockton, MA. They are a non-profit organization founded in 2009 that serves the communities and pets of southeastern Massachusetts.
The adoption center provides care and housing for homeless and surrendered dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets. They focus on the prevention of cruelty to animals, education and outreach, low-cost spay and neuter programs and helping animals and people in the community.
The Center runs on donations and volunteers so they look to the public to help keep them going. They are consistently finding ways to raise funds for the shelter by holding bake sales, selling shelter animal calendars, pet photos with Santa, and Dogtoberfest to name a few. They have multiple ways to donate and an Amazon wish list with the shelter necessities they often run out of. Check out their website to find the many ways you can help or stop by to see the many animals up for adoption.
