Expecting and Preparing for The Unexpected

This past week FBinsure presented the first FB CEO Seminar Series on Disaster Recovery.  Our speakers included the Mansfield Fire Chief Neal Boldrighini, Paul Davis Restoration of Boston South business owner John Gugliotta and his Sales and Marketing Director Haley Acosta.  Our engaging speakers posed some thought provoking questions and important considerations on disaster planning.

  • The wide scope of disasters, from a super-storm to a burst pipe.
  • Steps to creating a comprehensive plan for your employees, your clients, and your business continuity.
  • How to effectively implement your plan using the correct tools.
  • The importance of testing your plans as well as analyzing its effectiveness in the wake of a disaster.

One particularly eye-opening fact shared by Chief Boldrighini was the fact that a fire can start in any drawer in your home with a paperclip, battery and a piece of paper.  This fact alone made us all want to go home and check what we have in the “junk drawer”!  It was alarming and quite sobering!

This short video clip touches on some of the most important information shared.  If you would like to attend any of the upcoming FB CEO seminar series workshops, you can do so by visiting the FBinsure seminars page.
